For the photography course at the Frankfurt Zoo, there are no minimum requirements regarding camera equipment or knowledge level. Both beginners and more advanced photographers are welcome. If you don't have your own camera, you have the option to use the camera(s) provided by the instructor. Otherwise, feel free to use the equipment you already have. To prepare for the course, you can do the following:

  • Lenses (more than 85mm is desirable in many enclosures)
  • Batteries (charge and insert them before the course)

Camera lenses for the photography course at the Frankfurt Zoo.

To get an idea if you have a suitable lens for the workshop, you can determine by using the lens list and comparing the designation on your lens. The focal lengths are given in full frame or 35mm film. Depending on the camera, there is an additional magnification factor of 1.5x or 1.6x.
